In Africa, as is the case in many other parts of the world, policymakers are under pressure to reform their laws, policies and practices with a view to participating fully in the knowledge economy.
The work has focused on Kitui, Machakos and Makueni counties of semi-arid eastern Kenya, supporting the three county governments in developing appropriate adaptation strategies and programs that can assist farmers.
