TTI Phase 2 Institutional Support: Economic and Social Research Foundation
This funding will help strengthen the Economic and Social Research Foundation's (ESRF) role as a credible public policy institution in Tanzania by enhancing its ability to provide high-quality, influential, and policy-relevant research.
About the Economic and Social Research Foundation
ESRF is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental policy research institution. The foundation aims to build capacity in economic and social policy analysis and development management. Its work involves research, commissioned studies, training, and facilitating policy dialogue. ESRF receives its funding from the Think Tank Initiative (TTI).
Sound research, policy influence
TTI is a multi-donor program dedicated to strengthening independent policy research institutions, or think tanks, in developing countries. The program aims to enhance their ability to provide sound research that informs and influences policy.
This second TTI phase (2014?2019) will fund 43 institutions. This will help them consolidate their role as credible development actors in their countries, and in some cases, regionally and internationally. For ESRF, this project will help enhance its research quality, organizational performance, and policy engagement.

-enhance its systems to identify challenges and opportunities to increase the organization's impact
-increase its annual revenue streams
-become more visible at the community and national levels through improved technology services, communications training, expanded reach of its community radio program, and proactive media relations
