Responsible and Sustainable Tourism : Strengthening Small-Scale Enterprise in Costa Rica

This project will enable CUSO - a Canadian not-for-profit volunteer-sending organization - to work with the Costa Rican association of small and medium tourism enterprises of the greater metropolitan area of San Salvador (AMIGAM) in designing a model for small-scale tourism.

The research team will provide the tools and build the capacity of the membership of AMIGAM to function as the hub of a network of small service providers operating within the model. The model will focus on responsible tourism, marketing and outreach, distance learning, and the integration of services that are sensitive to demand.
