Regional Integration, Trade and Private Sector Development Program (Namibia)

Namibia aspires to a standard of living comparable to that of developed countries by the year 2030. The Namibian Economic Policy Research Unit (NEPRU), the leading institute of its kind in the country, has a mandate to help the government achieve this goal. NEPRU is in the process of setting up research programs in the areas of greatest importance to Namibia and the region. (NEPRU's other clients include regional and private sector institutions.)

This grant will co-finance NEPRU's research program on Regional Integration, Trade and Private Sector Development. This will enable NEPRU to add value to projects funded by clients through applied policy-oriented research, and at the same time strengthen its position as the leading economic policy research institute in the region.
