North-South Knowledge Partnerships : Promoting the Canada-Latin America Connection

This project seeks to foster learning partnerships between Canadian and Latin American research and training institutions, and a culture of collaborative knowledge building. It will do so by testing, analyzing and documenting different modes of collaboration based on information and communications technology (ICT).

The research team will create a supporting structure (portal) for online courses, electronic publications, a virtual library, etc., and provide short-term working and learning opportunities for students. The team will document the experience and derive lessons for improving existing programs of the partnering institutions.

The idea is to build a critical mass of knowledgeable human resources in both Latin America and Canada.
