Knowledge Sharing for Climate Change Adaptation in Africa

This project aims to put in place a vast mechanism for sharing information on climate change adaptation across the continent of Africa.

The interactive network will be a platform for exchange of ideas, debate and information sharing between diverse actors (communities, researchers, development practitioners, decision-makers, policymakers, civil society, donors, etc.) involved in solving the problem of adapting to climate change. Using information and communication technology (ICT), as well as traditional channels, the project will translate and process research findings and data in usable form for stakeholders. Moreover, the network will allow stakeholders to test the pertinence of research undertaken to date, identify gaps in available knowledge and propose research subjects to fill those gaps. In short, it will be a tool that will allow Africans to take charge of the issue of climate change at the local, national and continental level, and to defend their interests at the international level.
