Institutional Support : Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE)

Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE) is an independent policy research and advocacy organization based in Kampala, Uganda, with a reputation for producing good quality research to underpin its advocacy work. To date, the organization has relied on project-specific funds for its operation, an administratively onerous funding modality. This grant from IDRC's Think Tank Initiative (TTI) will allow ACODE to diversify its in-house skills mix, improve its financial management system, upgrade its information technology infrastructure, implement its 2009-2018 strategic plan and apply a rigorous mechanism for monitoring the impact of its work.
