Gender Sensitive Research for Tobacco Control in Brazil

While there is much research on tobacco control worldwide, there is little that is specific to the Brazilian context.

This project will attempt to address the problem by pilot testing a training workshop for Brazilian researchers and government officials on gender methodologies, approaches and protocols as they pertain to tobacco control. The workshop will prepare the way for the launch of a small grants competition. The project is a joint effort by the Aliança de Controle do Tabagismo (ACTbr), Brazil, and HealthBridge Foundation, Canada.
