Electronic Government : Caribbean Pilot Project

Caribbean countries are increasingly adopting information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the process of modernizing their public sectors. In 2003, the Jamaican Customs Authority successfully deployed its Customs Automated Services (CASE) solution, attracting the attention of neighboring countries and the international donor community alike. The Government of Jamaica is willing to donate the solution to other countries in the region.

This grant will provide seed funding for the transfer and adaptation of the CASE solution to Antigua and Barbuda, and Grenada. The experience will be documented and the lessons learned disseminated throughout the Caribbean.
