Effective and Sustainable Health Research Partnerships : a Collaborative Canada-South Project

IDRC frequently supports collaborative Canada-South research on subjects of vital interest to developing countries, such as health. This project is concerned with learning how to structure and manage Canada-South research partnerships more effectively. The project will support a series of regional workshops in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Canada leading to region-specific working papers on health research partnering. The workshops will be based on the experiences of existing North-South research partnerships. The project will also provide services to South-North research teams, and maintain and expand web-based tools and resources developed under project 102878. It is expected to result in improved knowledge for more effective North-South research partnerships.
