Canada-Latin America and the Caribbean Research Exchange Grants (2006-2008) - Phase IV

Like the three earlier phases (002624, 004097 and 101783), this project will allow the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) to offer academics (graduate students, professors, researchers) from Canada and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) opportunities for face-to-face dialogue on development issues of mutual concern through a variety of individual travel grants. Among the benefits resulting from Canada-South academic collaboration, it is expected that Southern researchers will gain better access to Canadian resources and know-how, and Canadian researchers will increase their expertise in comparative social policy analysis. Since this phase will include an evaluation of the program, awardees will be asked to provide information on specific outcomes six months following completion of the activity.
