AUCC-IDRC Partnership Grant 2011-2013: New Models of Partnership for Internationalization

Since the late 1970s, the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) has received several grants from IDRC to enhance its members' understanding of and engagement with international research for development. The 2011-2013 grant will focus on the theme of new models of partnership. North-South partnerships with Canadian universities increasingly involve different types of partners, such as Southern universities, and civil society or nongovernmental organizations in Canada and the South. AUCC wants to examine the characteristics of these new models, find out what is driving them, identify the ingredients for their success and, ultimately, share best practices with the university community. The research results will be disseminated to senior administrators in Canadian universities with a view to informing decision-making related to internationalization.
