Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada Partnership 2007-2009

For almost 30 years, IDRC has enabled the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada to provide Canadian universities with liaison and information services on international development through its International Relations Division. Recently, IDRC funded a 36-month program to encourage greater involvement of Canadian universities and academics in North-South research for development by raising awareness of its value among key stakeholders (102341). Building on this enhanced awareness, the current grant will support a series of activities aimed at stimulating an exchange of views between key stakeholders (including senior decision-makers in government and universities) on strategies for furthering Canadian faculty engagement in North-South research for development. Activities will include two research papers, two multi-stakeholder policy dialogues, and two AUCC-IDRC strategy roundtables.
