Assessing the Future Directions of Global Knowledge Partnership

Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) is a multi-stakeholder partnership that seeks to advance the use of information and communication technology for development (ICT4D). IDRC has supported GKP from its inception over 10 years ago and currently serves as chair of its executive board. GKP is facing important sustainability challenges. This grant will help GKP consider its future directions by supporting an internal and external scan. The internal scan will consist of an analysis of all GKP institutional documents; selected interviews with former staff, regional coordinators, donors and members; a focus group meeting with former or active members; and an assessment of the current revenue model. The external scan will consist of a documentary review of current ICT4D programming and interviews with other stakeholders and major donor organizations.
