The IDRC Doctoral Research Awards are intended to increase research capacity in Canada and the Global South to improve lives and livelihoods.

The awards are open to Canadians, permanent residents of Canada, and citizens from countries in the Global South who are pursuing doctoral studies at Canadian universities.
