New report presents IDRC’s contributions to climate action

IDRC’s support for applied research on climate change adaptation began more than a decade before climate change became a climate crisis. Together with like-minded donors, IDRC has helped establish strong foundations for climate change adaptation research.

This new report presents IDRC’s key contributions to climate action over the past 14 years. It highlights lessons learned and their implications for the research community at large and for addressing the climate challenges of 2020 and beyond.

We believe that climate research must be embedded into climate action, and societies must simultaneously invest in, scale up, and learn from their climate plans. IDRC will continue to invest directly in the Global South to propel the world toward action.
