KIX global call for proposals: Strengthening education systems with proven innovations

July 18, 2019
The Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) is pleased to announce a global call for proposals to help improve education outcomes around the globe. This joint endeavour between the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and IDRC, with a budget of approximately CA$82 million, will adapt and scale proven education innovations in the Global South.

GPE / Carolina Valenzuela

KIX is an exciting new way to connect the expertise, innovation, and knowledge of GPE partners to help developing countries build stronger education systems. This will also accelerate progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality education.

Individual organizations or groups of organizations are invited to submit proposals for multi-region, multi-country projects within GPE member countries that target national priorities with proven contributions to education access and quality.

The projects funded under these grants will:

  • generate knowledge and evidence to support the adaptation of innovative tools, approaches, and other innovations that have demonstrated impact on improving education access and quality at scale in developing contexts; and
  • mobilize research and knowledge to support the scaling of these evidence-based and proven interventions across multiple countries and regions.
