IDRC is recruiting reviewers to use RQ+ to evaluate completed IDRC-funded research
An all-of-IDRC evaluation of the quality of the research the Centre has supported over the past five years will be launched in 2020. IDRC is seeking applicants to join the Centre’s inaugural College of Reviewers to assess IDRC-funded research in this evaluation.
How do we know what makes for quality research? Following a reflective exercise to unpack and deconstruct the values and desires that IDRC and our research community hold for science, the Centre has articulated what it considers to be strong research for development in a transparent assessment framework called Research Quality Plus (RQ+).
How do we know our funded research is high quality? We believe that science is driven by critical inquiry, so IDRC wants to leverage the value of external expertise from the global research community to help us evaluate the quality of the research we fund.
If you have substantive research for development experience and you are interested in putting the RQ+ approach to work, please apply to join IDRC’s inaugural College of Reviewers. Evaluators selected for the College of Reviewers will use RQ+ to assess IDRC-funded research against the goals intended for that work.
*The College of Reviewers will not evaluate proposals for IDRC research funding.
