IDRC invites applications for the IDRC Doctoral Research Awards

April 19, 2017

IDRC is now accepting applications for this year’s IDRC Doctoral Research Awards (IDRA).

This call is open to Canadians, permanent residents of Canada, and citizens of developing countries pursuing doctoral studies at a Canadian university. These awards are intended for field research in developing countries to improve the lives of people in the developing world.

New this year

A bequest from Ramesh and Pilar Bhatia has created the David and Ruth Hopper and Ramesh and Pilar Bhatia Canada Fund, which will offer a new David and Ruth Hopper and Ramesh and Pilar Bhatia Canada Research Fellowship to a top female candidate in Canada identified through the IDRA call. Candidates applying to the IDRA call will automatically be considered for the fellowship, which will be of the same value and have the same parameters as the IDRAs.

The application deadline for the next IDRA call is May 31, 2017
