The Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX), a joint endeavour between the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and IDRC, aims to contribute to the improvement of education policy and practice in the Global South. It’s the largest fund solely dedicated to meet public good gaps in education on a global scale, and is currently funding 12 projects in 68 low and middle-income countries.

Gender equality and inclusion is at the center of KIX’s mission and mandate. KIX’s recipients have either directly or indirectly incorporated gender equality and inclusion among their thematic areas of focus, planning and implementation. In order to ensure that the proper support and tools are provided to KIX grant recipients and implementing staff members, KIX seeks the support of a consultant with expertise in gender equality, inclusion and education, to lead the development of a gender equality and inclusion strategy and begin to operationalize it within KIX. The consultant will be building off a body of gender equality and inclusion work that KIX has already initiated through its calls for proposals, scoping studies, and programming material, among others.

Through this strategy, KIX will ensure that all grant recipients and research support projects incorporate gender equality and inclusion considerations at each step of their work. This strategy will also enable KIX' implementing staff to support KIX grant recipients in applying an inclusive lens to their work and ensure that all program operations consider the main principles of gender equality, including project design and implementation, knowledge translation activities, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and the intended results.

The call is open until February 3, 2021. To learn more, please read the full call document closely. You can apply here
