How can business, investment and public policies drive systems change?

Join us on Friday, May 7, from 11am-12pm EDT to celebrate progress in the business-for-good movement and discuss strategies and lessons to promote and scale up positive change for the good of people and planet. The panel discussion will cover purpose-driven businesses, such as B Corps, and impact investment that are driving business action towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Panelists will also highlight the role of public policies, such as taxation, public procurement, regulations and new legal forms of business incorporation, that can accelerate a much needed transition to a new, more sustainable and equitable economy.

Speakers include:

  • María Emilia Correa, Co-Founder, Sistema B
  • Camila Lopez, Sustainability Lead, Juan Valdez
  • Laura Ortiz, Founder, SVX Mexico
  • Rebecca Grynspan, Secretary General, Secretaría General Iberoamericana (SEGIB)

This session will be moderated by Erin Tansey, Director Sustainable Inclusive Economies at IDRC.
