This Conference is organized by the UNESCO s Regional Office for Science and Technology in the Arab States, Cairo Office, in cooperation with the Ministry of Water and Environment of the Republic of Yemen
The conference will focus on case studies from participating countries and practical experiences of participants in dealing with wadi systems. In particular, papers which report on planning and management lessons will be given priority.
Topics:
- Applications of Integrated Water and Resources Management (IWRM) in wadi systems
- Best practices for rainfall harvesting in wadi system
- Groundwater degradation in wadi aquifers
- Models for joint management of internationally shared water resources of wadis systems
- Education, research and training in wadis systems.
