Abstract
IDRC's Regional Office for West and Central Africa (WARO) is responsible for implementing IDRC's mission in the region, including Chad. For a number of reasons, however, WARO supports very few activities in that country. This grant will allow a Chadian consultant to examine the existing and emerging research environment and research capacity in the country. The study will provide IDRC with an appreciation of the general research environment and the extent to which Chadian researchers can participate in sub-regional research networks.
