As part of its contribution to the Third World Urban Forum (WUF3), the International Development Research Centre (
IDRC) hosted an international photo competition. Open to professional and amateur photographers alike, the
Expose Urban Solutions contest captures some of the innovative way people in the developing world are making their cities better, more livable places.
Twenty of the best images are on display at the Canadian Pavilion at WUF3. Delegates visiting the gallery can cast a ballot for their favourite image. The photographer whose image garners the most votes will receive a People’s choice award, a cash prize of CA $1 000.
