Mar del Plata, ARGENTINA Along with the technical activities that took place prior to the Ministers of Health and the Environment (HEMA) II meeting, IDRC and Argentina’s Ministry of Health and Environment organized the Regional Workshop on “Integrated Approaches to Health and the Environment: Building New Policies” that will take place in Mar del Plata on June 14-15, 2005. The event provided a forum for presentation and discussion of projects based on experience (local, national and regional) which include integrated policies and actions on health and environment and for the elaboration of sub regional proposals on HEMA priority issues. This event was attended by officials of health and environment from the countries of the region, representatives of agencies and the civil society.
