Abstract
A primary objective of the IDRC-supported project, "100133 Building Learning Systems for Honduran Development," is to help organizations and institutions draw upon and generate knowledge to inform development practice. The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has entered into a partnership with IDRC to carry out development programming in Honduras through CIDA's bilateral "Pro-Mesas" program. The partnership is grounded in CIDA's recognition of the importance of intentionally integrating learning and knowledge into development programming. As requested by CIDA, this grant will allow a facilitator to guide staff and partners of the CIDA Pro-Mesas program through a participatory process of designing and implementing a learning system to strengthen their programming. The process will equip the CIDA Pro-Mesas team to continue to capture and apply learning in the future.
