SECTION II: THE CASE STUDIES

7. Introduction
Prev Document(s) 10 of 22 Next

The findings of this study are based on 23 rich case studies. As the interpretations and conclusions are inevitably based on the perspectives of the author and the other users and researchers who mined them, we thought readers would find it useful to have summaries of the cases to which to refer. The reader may find additional issues through reflection on these studies. For that reason, and for the benefit of those readers who would like to delve into the stories behind the findings in a bit more depth, summaries of all the cases are presented in this section of the book.

The cases are organized here around subject matter. Table 7.1 situates them by region for the benefit of the reader with a specific geographic interest.

We have attempted to cover the salient points in each case, but of course much of the rich detail included by the case study authors is necessarily truncated. For those who want even more depth, the longer studies can be found on the IDRC website at www.idrc.ca/evaluation-policy/ev-26606-201-1-DO_TOPIC.html.
