IDRC funds research in developing countries to advance ideas and innovative breakthroughs in the developing world

Join us for our Annual Public Meeting to learn more about our work and how it has improved lives around the world.

When: Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 5:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
Where: IDRC, 150 Kent Street, 8th floor, W. David Hopper Room, Ottawa, Ontario

Members of the IDRC Board of Governors — The Honourable Barbara McDougall (Chairperson), David M. Malone (President of IDRC), and The Honourable Monte Solberg (Governor) — will be on hand to present IDRC’s work and answer questions.

Naser Faruqui, Director of the Science and Innovation (SI) Program, will explain how IDRC supports research and training to help developing countries produce, adapt and use science and innovation for development. In particular, he will describe Canada’s support to the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Next Einstein Initiative — which provides rigorous mathematics training to top post-graduate students from across Africa, and how it will help Africa develop.

This event is free but seating is limited, so please register.
