Contributing to peace in the Middle East

As part of Canada’s contribution to the Middle East peace process, IDRC’s Expert and Advisory Services Fund has worked with regional and international partners to generate research and knowledge about the Palestinian refugee issue.

Our activities have facilitated Palestinian-Israeli dialogue, expert analysis, and joint problem-solving. They also contributed to a negotiated, mutually acceptable resolution to the refugee issue.

Research has focused on compensation to Palestinian refugees, repatriation, engaging public opinion, and host country issues.
