Innovation, Technology, and Society
Innovative science for developing countries

Innovation, technology, and science are often neglected or non-existent policy areas for developing countries dealing with endemic poverty.

IDRC’s Innovation, Technology, and Society program seeks to build capacity in these areas by supporting research that strengthens the learning capacity of developing-country innovators.

We also identify developing-country researchers and organizations that can outline a country’s needs for encouraging science innovation. We support research that increases analysis of how technology impacts society, as well as research into innovation policy.
